Self assessment per Knowledge area: allows municipalities, cities and regions to compare their position with other regions and continents of the world or to restrict the comparison to regions with interesting socioeconomic indicators for the user. It also allows the user to do a follow-up; that means to see the progress achieved by the municipality/city/region through periodical self assessments.

It offers recommendations for each knowledge area to help the user to improve the evaluated indicators.

Exchange of best practices or success cases with local authorities from all over the World. To experience how other municipalities, cities and/or regions have solved the problems related with the progress of the Information Society. The Network also allows local authorities to contact directly with each other in order to obtain further information regarding those cases that they consider interesting.

Training –capacity building- for the implementation of a local strategic plan on Information Society (Digital Local Agenda)
